Ashley Ford is a writer, editor, and speaker. She is the author of the memoir Somebody's Daughter, which was a finalist for the National Book Award for Nonfiction. She is also the co-host of the podcast "Call Your Girlfriend."

Ford has written for The New York Times, The Washington Post, Elle, and The Guardian. She has been featured on NPR, The Today Show, and The Daily Show.

Ford is a passionate advocate for social justice. She is a founding member of the Black Women's Blueprint, a non-profit organization that works to empower black women and girls.
