About the Author
Ann Zwicker Kerr was born in a small town in Germany in 1928. In 1949, she immigrated to the United States and settled in New York City. She worked at a variety of jobs before becoming a bookkeeper. She is the author of two memoirs, Forty Years in America and A German Girl in New York. She lives in New York City with her husband and two children.
