In the face of climate change and mass extinction, the prevailing narratives of architecture and urbanism are no longer adequate. We need a new vision for designing our built environment, one that is based on diversity, resilience, and adaptability. In Designs for the Pluriverse, Arturo Escobar offers just such a vision.

Escobar argues that the current ecological crisis is a result of the dominant worldview of modernity, which has led to the destruction of natural habitats and the homogenization of human cultures. He calls for a new worldview, one that is based on the recognition of the diversity of life and the interconnectedness of all things. This new worldview, which Escobar calls the "pluriverse," offers a more hopeful and sustainable vision for the future.

Designs for the Pluriverse is a beautifully written and thought-provoking book that challenges the prevailing narratives of architecture and urbanism. It is a must-read for anyone who is interested in the future of our planet.
