But when tragedy strikes, Jackson is forced to stay home and care for his family. Years later, Jackson's son, Bear, follows in his father's footsteps and becomes a successful musician. But Bear's success comes at a price, as he struggles to balance his career with his family life. Finally, Bear's daughter, Beauchamp, is a young woman who is trying to find her own way in the world. But when she falls in love with a man from a different culture, she must decide whether to follow her heart or her family's expectations.
